Thank you 2008!
Thank you 2008!! It has been an interesting year to say the least. One can surmise 2008 to be one of the worst years specially given the economic climate and violent incidents that have taken place in the past few months but instead I prefer to look at all the things that happened in 2008 that I am thankful for and begin 2009 with gratitude for what I have and faith that I will have what I need in the future.
First and foremost, Thank you Yash! for joining our family and adding a completely new dimension of chaos and bliss in our otherwise mundane life. Thank you for helping us step into our parents' shoes and experience the unconditional love and care that they have been showering on us all our lives. We hope to be as good if not better parents to you.
Our transition to parenthood would have been a much rougher ride had it not been my mother's presence before and after Yash's birth. It has been a long while since I came to the US that I have spent that much time with her and I will always cherish my first parenting lessons that I got by just observing her. Total responsibility and complete faith in divine. Thank you!!
I have always loved and admired my dear wife, but her abilities have increased exponentially ever since she has become a mother. Thank you for successfully juggling your professional and parenting responsibilities and making all the sacrifices that you have made so far and continue to make to ensure that our little one is well nurtured and cared for. My respect for you continues to grow.
Thank you for good health that our family has enjoyed this year. I hope that continues into 2009 and further.
I cannot but feel lucky and grateful to have such caring and loving friends around us here in Atlanta, who not only are there to share the bounties of joy and pleasure but have rushed to our side to help us when needed. Thank you y'all!
Professionally, 2008 did give me wonderful opportunities to shoulder additional responsibilities than what I would have expected in my current position and add valuable skills to my resume.
Thank you to all the invisible angels and Gurus that have kept a watchful eye over us and showered their blessings time and again.
I would be lying if I were to say 2008 was all hunky dory. It did throw some curve balls at us, I cannot help but thank all the challenges that showed up and made us more mature and stronger. Without them this year would not be half as memorable.
Good bye dear 2008 and welcome 2009, I look forward to unfolding what the future holds for us; one day at a time.
